Product Overview

Lower Drum Assembly DSH-39A-R

For SLT30 Sony Betamax Recorders

This part was never supplied as a spare part by itself

but only as a complete drum Assembly with Part # A6050250A in Service Manual

There are 3 reasons to replace this part, if Video head Disk is known good

1 -  Excessive rotation Noise Due to worn Bearings

2 -  Clearance between static and rotating transformers underneath head disk has changed due to exposure in very humid conditions

resulting in friction noise or drum stops to rotate completely ( seized )

3 -  Excessive noise in picture that can be produced by deteriorating insulation of rotating magnets coils

These are cases that have been encountered working with betamax recorders from the day they were introduced back in 1979

lower drums listed here are parts that were kept in our service for repairing such difficult cases,

All are rotating smoothly and have no or very small wear from tape friction

So If you have one of  these lovely pieces of equipment suffering from such fault, this is the only  chance to get it repaired

If you are living in  Greece or dont mind to pay the shipping costs, our service can do this for you  for an extra fee of course

ASSEMBLY DOES NOT INCLUDE VIDEO HEADS OR DRUM MOTOR STATOR

OLD Video heads and Motor Stator must be transferred to this Drum

Please NOTE

it goes without  Saying that replacing such assembly by the average DYI person is not an easy task

there are no returns accepted for this Drum, it is sold AS-IS FOR Parts ONLY

As a precaution and to avoid any wrong purchases, as soon as you purchase any such parts

We will send you an email to verify that you actually need this part,

Please keep in mind that we offer our services free for customers just to prevent not needed parts purchases

If you fail to respond to our emails, order will be cancelled

We DO NOT sell any parts to diagnose faults in your equipment and then ask for returns

falsely claiming that the part was not working

This is against any trade rules
