The only Difference between stator models and Part numbers 

is the length of cable and maybe the connector used to connect stator to Servo Board 

( You May have to use the Old Cable if different from the one already installed on this motor )

In case you are not aware, 

when Drum motor although spins freely by hand, but does not spin when PLAY or FF-REW is selected 

but just makes a brief attempt to start and then freezes 

chances are that you may have a bad stator motor, this is a typical fault in many betamax recorders

Reason being a faulty Hall Sensor IC 

Of Course there are many other reasons why Drum motor will not start,
